The British Standard BS EN 378 2/2000 states that from 29th May 2002 all systems exceeding 0.5 bar positive pressure will comply with the PED97/23/EC Regulation and require a leak test to be carried out to ensure there are no leaks in the system. Systems should be pressurised to a maximum pressure of 10 Bar for a minimum time of 10 – 15 minutes.
